Love Live! Sunshine!! Film CD Single Is Aqours' 1st Weekly #1

The "Bokura no Hashittekita Michi wa... / Next SPARKLING!!" single by the Love Live! Sunshine!! in-story idol group Aqours sold about 74,000 copies and topped the Oricon weekly single ranking for the January 21-27 week. It is the first single by Aqours to rank #1. The single shipped on January 23.
Both of the single's title songs feature as insert songs in Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow which opened in Japan on January 4. A second single of insert songs from the film, titled "Tōsō Meisō Mobius Loop / Hop? Stop? Nonstop!" will ship on Wednesday.
The Love Live! The School Idol Movie anime film previously had three singles from the film in the top 10 in the same week in 2015.
Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow earned 98,963,900 yen (about US$911,690) in its first three days at the box office. The film ranked at #7 for earnings from January 4-6, but ranked at #8 in terms of tickets sold during the January 5-6 weekend.
