posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Game inspired TV anime last July

The official blog for Marvelous' The Thousand Musketeers (Senjūshi: The Thousand Noble Musketeers) smartphone game announced on Wednesday that the game will end service on June 11. Staff decided to end the game's service after they concluded in various discussions that it would be difficult to maintain the quality of service for the game.

New downloads and sales of in-game currency will will end on May 7. Support for the game will end on October 31.

The game launched for iOS and Android devices in Japan on March 22, 2018.

The game inspired a television anime that premiered in Japan in July. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series, and HIDIVE streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

Miki Daichi launched a manga adaptation of the game in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine in June 2018, and Kadokawa published the first compiled book volume in November. Teiko Sasaki's Senjūshi Re:verse turn novel related to the anime shipped simultaneously. Toriyasu's Kōki ni Tatakae!? Senjūshi manga also ran on Kadokawa's Young Ace Up website from April to October 2018, and a compiled book volume shipped in October.
