Bushiroad announced at the "Bushiroad DJ Live vol. 2" event at Shinkiba Studio Coast in Tokyo on Friday that its D4DJ (Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ) project will include an anime and video game. The company also began streaming a video for the announcement that reveals the main staff and a visual with silhouettes of the eight main characters.

Bushiroad is credited with the original work, and the company's founder and president Takaaki Kidani is executive producer. BanG Dream's Ko Nakamura is credited with the original story. Masahiro Nakayama is supervising producer, and Shigeru Saitō (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star) is music producer.

Following after BanG Dream! and Revue Starlight, D4DJ is Bushiroad's new DJ-theme mixed-media project. The project includes live DJ performances, anime, and games. The project incorporates new music as well as remixes of popular music. The project's first live performance will be held at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba on July 20-21.

Bushiroad launched the BanG Dream! multimedia project in January 2015. The band members consist of voice cast members who portray the characters in the story, and they play the same instruments as their characters.

The main BanG Dream! television anime's first 13-episode season premiered in January 2017, and Anime Network Online and Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired in Japan. The anime's second season premiered on January 3. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime, and HIDIVE and Crunchyroll are streaming the series as it airs. The BanG Dream! FILM LIVE film will open in Japan in September, and the BanG Dream! 3rd Season television anime will debut in January 2020.

The BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! smartphone game launched in Japan in March 2017, and an English version launched last April.

The BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! game app inspired DMM.futureworks and Sanzigen's BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! ☆ Pico mini anime, which premiered on July 5. A spinoff anime titled Pastel Life premiered in May.

Bushiroad announced the Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight franchise in April 2017 with a stage musical and television anime project. The musical Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight The LIVE, billed as a "2.5 dimension musical and live concert," ran in Tokyo in September 2017. The 12-episode television anime series premiered on July 12. Sentai Filmworks streamed the series on HIDIVE with English subtitles and an English dub.

Sora Goto and Kanata Nakamura launched Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Overture, the first manga for the franchise, in Kadokawa's Dengeki G's Comic magazine in January 2018, and ended it on October 30. The manga's second compiled volume shipped on October 26. The franchise also includes the Butai Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight ―The LIVE― SHOW MUST GO ON and Yonkoma Starlight manga.

Production of a mini anime, titled Shōjo☆Konto All Starlight (Girl Comedy Skit All Starlight), has been green-lit.
