Funimation to Stream Isekai Quartet, New Strike Witches, Helpful Fox Senko-san, Wise Man's Grandchild Anime

All 4 series to stream with English subtitles, dub

Funimation announced on Monday that it will begin streaming the Isekai Quartet, Strike Witches: 501st JOINT FIGHTER WING Take Off!, The Helpful Fox Senko-san, and Wise Man's Grandchild anime on its FunimationNow streaming service this month. All four anime will stream with English subtitles and English dubs as each series airs in Japan. These anime will stream in the following territories: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia.


Funimation will stream the crossover anime Isekai Quartet with English subtitles as it airs in Japan, starting on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. EDT. The English dub will premiere on April 23 at 4:00 p.m. EDT.

Funimation describes the story:

The button appeared out of nowhere. There weren't any signs NOT to push it…so the solution is obvious, right? Is it a trap or the start of something new and exciting? The crews of Re:Zero, Overlord, Konosuba, and The Saga of Tanya the Evil will find out when they go from their world to another and get stuck in…class?! See what adorable chaos they'll get up to in this collection of shorts!

Minoru Ashina (Kaiju Girls, Pure Pure Purea Desu Overlord shorts) is scripting and directing the project. Minoru Takehara is serving as both character designer and chief animation director. Studio Puyukai (Kaiju Girls, Lord Marksman and Vanadis, Pure Pure Purea Desu Overlord shorts) is animating the work.


Funimation will stream the Strike Witches: 501st JOINT FIGHTER WING Take Off! anime with English subtitles as it airs in Japan, starting on Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. EDT. The English dub will premiere on April 23 at 4:00 p.m. EDT.

Funimation describes the adaptation of Makoto Fujibayashi's Strike Witches 501 Butai Hasshinshimasu! manga:

Strike Witches, the 501st Joint Fighter Wing girls, are back from battle and ready to relax as best they can! War with the deadly Neuroi won't last forever, but one thing is certain, the war on laundry is eternal. Join these aerial combat cuties in a down-to-earth series highlighting the team's hijinks between missions.

Fumio Ito (episode director for Rage of Bahamut: Genesis, School-Live!, Kino's Journey - the Beautiful World-) is directing the anime at acca effe and Giga Production, with Production I.G. and Anime Beans credited for collaborating on animation production. Humikane Shimada and Projekt Kagonish are credited with the original work. Shinya Murakami (Strike Witches 2, Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow, High School Fleet) is returning to handle series literature. Seikou Nagaoka is also returning to compose the music, with Nippon Columbia credited for music production. Other returning staff members include sound director Tomohiro Yoshida at Glovision and producer Takashi Tachizaki.


Funimation will stream The Helpful Fox Senko-san anime with English subtitles as it airs in Japan, starting on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. EDT. The English dub will premiere on April 24 at 4:00 p.m. EDT.

Funimation describes the adaptation of Rimukoro's "healing comedy" manga Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san:

Sometimes the cure to a hard day's work is the tender love and care of…a fox girl?! Salaryman Nakano's stressful life is suddenly intruded upon by the fox, Senko-san, who is eager to help him heal his exhaustion. Whether she's cooking, cleaning, or finding other ways to care for Nakano, she's there to take away his stress!

Tomoaki Koshida (Zoku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru.) is directing the anime at Doga Kobo. Yoshiko Nakamura (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Tada Never Falls in Love) is in charge of series composition and is penning the scripts. Miwa Oshima (The Story of Saiunkoku, Koihime Musō, Aria the Scarlet Ammo AA) is designing the characters. Azumi Waki and Maaya Uchida will perform the show's opening theme song "Koyoi mofumofu!!," and Waki will perform the ending theme song Moffu Moffu de Yoinoja yo."


Funimation will stream the Wise Man's Grandchild anime with both English subtitles and an English dub as it airs in Japan, starting on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. EDT.

Funimation describes the adaptation of Tsuyoshi Yoshioka's fantasy novel series Kenja no Mago:

A young man dies in a car accident and is reborn in a magical new world. The old, yet wise Merlin finds the boy, names him Shin, raises him from infancy, and teaches him combat and powerful magic along the way. 15years later, Shin is ready to travel the globe on his own, but Merlin forgot to teach him something major—common sense!

Masafumi Tamura (Two Car, Ange Vierge) is directing the anime at SILVER LINK, and Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Beatless, Eromanga Sensei) is overseeing the series scripts. Yuki Sawairi (Masamune-kun's Revenge, Two Car) is designing the characters.
