Dirty Pair slated for December 17, My Room Is a Dungeon Rest Stop in January 2020

Seven Seas Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it has licensed Haruka Takachiho and Hisao Tamaki's science-fiction comedy manga Dirty Pair (Dirty Pair no Daibōken) , as well as Tōgoku Hudō and Takoyakiyoshi's alternate-world fantasy manga My Room Is a Dungeon Rest Stop (Boku no Heya ga Dungeon no Kyūkeijo ni Natteshimatta ken). The two-in-one omnibus volume of the Dirty Pair manga will ship on December 17, while the first volume of My Room Is a Dungeon Rest Stop will ship on January 7, 2020.

Seven Seas describes the Dirty Pair manga:

Kei and Yuri, known as the Lovely Angels--or the Dirty Pair, depending on who you ask--work as agents for the galactic Worlds Welfare and Works Association. But in their pursuit of space-wide justice, they cause space-wide disaster! The chaotic (and strangely successful) exploits of these sexy agents have charmed audiences since their debut in 1980. For the first time ever, this manga adventure for the iconic pair--created in Japan as a retelling of the first light novel--will be available in English, contained entirely in one omnibus!

The manga adapts the story of The Great Adventure of the Dirty Pair (Dirty Pair no Daibōken), the first volume in Haruka Takachiho's Dirty Pair novel series. The manga launched in Tokuma Shoten's Comic Ryū magazine in 2010, and ended in 2011. Tokuma Shoten published two compiled book volumes for the series.

Takachiho began the novel series in 1979 and the eighth novel volume, Dirty Pair no Daichōyaku (Dirty Pair's Great Leap), shipped in Japan last December as the first novel volume in 11 years. Dark Horse Comics published the first two novels in English in 2007 and 2008. The novels have also spawned a television anime and film, as well as several video projects, manga, and American comics. The title duo made their first anime appearance in 1983's Crusher Joe: The Movie.

Seven Seas describes My Room Is a Dungeon Rest Stop:

There has to be a catch when a deluxe rental property is this cheap--and this one connects to a perilous dungeon in another world! Far from being dissuaded, Touru jumps at the chance to sign the lease, hoping to go from high school dropout to big-time adventurer. He soon encounters a stranded knight: a gorgeous young woman named Ria. Touru rescues her and takes her back to Earth, where she promptly mistakes him for a Great Sage, seeing normal things like running water for evidence of his powerful magic. Touru may dream of heroism, but first he has to figure out how to share an apartment with a cute girl from another world!

The manga adapts Hudō's light novel series of the same name. Takoyakiyoshi launched the manga in Takeshobo's Web Comic Ganma website in May 2017. Takeshobo published the manga's second volume last July.

Hudō launched the original story on the "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" (Let's Become Novelists) web novel site in August 2016, and last posted a chapter in December. SB Creative began publishing the story in physical volumes with art by JUNA in February 2017, and it published the third volume in November 2017.
