New Canadian Channel ToonAVision Adds Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal As its 1st Anime

The new Canadian television channel Toonavision revealed on Thursday that it will air the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series as the first anime on the channel. The anime will air in HD on weekdays at 4:30 p.m. and on weekends at 9:00 a.m.

Toonavision launched as a free cable TV service in Canada last June. The channel is on channel 749 through Eastlink. The channel describes the series:

When aspiring duelist Yuma meets Astral, a mysterious visitor from another universe, it seems like destiny. Yuma needs Astral to teach him how to duel, and Astral needs Yuma to help him regain his memories! They would be dueling's greatest tag team…. except they don't get along! Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal premiered in April 2011 and aired for 73 episodes. The Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II anime then premiered in October 2012 and also aired for 73 episodes.
