Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland Game's Video Previews Combat

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Game launches in N. America on May 21, in Europe on May 24

Koei Tecmo America began streaming a promotional video for the Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland (Lulua no Atelier ~Arland no Renkinjutsushi 4~) game on Thursday. The video previews combat.

Koei Tecmo America will release the game for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on May 21 in North America. The company's limited edition of the game will bundle a hardcover art book, "Sound Archives" soundtrack, Lulua and Rorona keychains, and a cloth poster for US$99.99. Koei Tecmo Europe will also release the game on the same platforms on May 24 in Europe.

The game launched for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 20 in Japan. The game's premium box release in Japan features an artbook, two mini character charms, a sound archive disc, and a download serial code for a costume. A special collection box contains those bonuses as well as a poster and a crystal paperweight.

Koei Tecmo America describes the game, which is set several years after Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland:

This heart-warming new entry follows the young Elmerulia Fryxell; an energetic and positive young girl who studies alchemy diligently to live up to the legacy of her mother – the famous Rorona Fryxell. Supported by her close childhood friend, the hardworking and caring Eva Armster, she works hard to fulfill her dream and become a renowned alchemist. Fans of the Arland series will be able to re-meet old characters, and re-explore the land of Arland, to see how the flow of time has changed everything they once knew.

The game will feature new synthesis, battle, and exploration systems. The game will have Arland-style gameplay combined with the latest Mysterious series. Mel Kishida is providing character designs for the game.

The Atelier Arland series is a trilogy of games that are part of Gust's larger Atelier series of games. NIS America released all three original games in English, but Koei Tecmo released the "Plus" versions.
