Hensuki Anime Casts Suzuki Mimori, Gets Short Anime Spinoff

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Mimori plays calligraphy club advisor in main anime, Hensuki shorts this summer

The official website for Hensuki: Are you willing to fall in love with a pervert, as long as she’s a cutie?, the television anime of Tomo Hanama's Kawaikereba Hentai demo Suki ni Natte Kuremasuka? light novel series, revealed a new cast member and a new short anime spinoff titled Hensuki.

Suzuko Mimori plays the character Okita-sensei (seen below), the advisor for Keiki's calligraphy club

Mimori will also star in the Hensuki short anime with Hiro Shimono and Kaede Hondo as their respective characters. Itsuki Imazaki, the director of the main anime, is also the director, technical director, storyboarder, and writer for the Hensuki anime shorts. The shorts will run after episodes of the main anime exclusively on the AT-X channel and on the GYAO! service.

The story of the romantic comedy begins when a love letter arrives out of the blue for Keiki Kiryū, an ordinary high school student who has never had a girlfriend as long as he has been alive. The letter does not include the sender's name — but the letter does include white panties. In the process of investigating who could be his "Cinderella who left behind her panties," Keiki discovers every candidate is uniquely perverted and desperately interested in having him participate in their perversion.

Previously announced cast members include:

Hiro Shimono as Keiki Kiryū, the protagonist

Ayana Taketatsu as Sayuki Tokihara, Keiki's amply-proportioned, beautiful upperclass student

Rina Hidaka as Yuika Koga, Keiki's puppy-like, meek, and cute underclass student

Iori Nomizu as Mao Nanjō, a classmate close to Keiki

Kaede Hondo as Mizuha Kiryū, Keiki's thoughtful younger sister

Keisuke Kōmoto as Shōma Akiyama, a handsome high school student

Ayaka Ōhashi as Koharu Ōtori, an upperclass student.

Anzu Haruno as Ayano Fujimoto, the serious-minded student council vice president.

Itsuki Imazaki (Recorder and Randsell Mi, Magical Somera-chan) is directing the anime at Geek Toys, with Seven credited for animation production assistance. Kenichi Yamashita (Pittanko! Nekozakana, Holmes of Kyoto) is supervising the anime's scripts. Yōsuke Itō (King's Game The Animation, Holmes of Kyoto) is designing the characters and is also the chief animation director. Yasunori Ebina (After the Rain, Gabriel DropOut) is the sound director. Youichi Sakai is composing the music. Ayaka Ōhashi is performing the opening song "Daisuki." Mia REGINA is performing the ending song "Mubyū no Hana" (Infallible Flower).

The main anime will premiere on AT-X on July 8, on Tokyo MX and MBS on July 9, and on BS11 on July 10. Funimation will debut a simulcast for the anime on July 8, with the simuldub debuting on July 22.

Hanama launched the light novel series with illustrations by sune in January 25, 2017. The artist CHuN (Friendly Land) is serializing a manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine.
