One Piece TV Anime's Episodes on July 28, August 4 to Have Original Story Tying into New Film

The September issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine announced on Saturday that the episodes of the One Piece television anime that will air on July 28 and August 4 will tie into the new One Piece Stampede film.
In the story of the episodes, Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew are attacked by the bounty hunter Seedle and his guild. To escape the bounty hunters, the Straw Hat Crew end up using up all the cola on the ship, and must stop at a nearby island to replenish the cola.
One Piece Stampede will open in Japan on August 9, and is commemorating the TV anime's 20th anniversary. The film's plot centers on an event being held called "The Pirates Festival."
The television anime's "Wano Kuni" arc premiered on July 7. Hiroshi Kitadani has returned to the One Piece anime to perform the show's new opening theme song "Over the Top." Shouko Fujibayashi wrote the lyrics, Kōhei Tanaka composed the song, and Takayuki Negishi arranged the song. The new theme song also debuted on July 7.
The anime has a new series director and character designer with the new arc. Tatsuya Nagamine (One Piece Film Z, Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball Super: Broly) is the new series director, and Midori Matsuda (chief animation director for One Piece Episode of East Blue: Luffy to 4-nin no Nakama no Daibōken, animation director for One Piece Film Gold) is the new character designer.
