Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime producer Noriko Dohi to also attend event

Crunchyroll announced on Friday that the Crunchyroll Expo event will host Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma manga creators Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki at the event. The convention will also host Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime producer Noriko Dohi.

Tsukuda's debut work "Kiba ni Naru" won the first prize in the Jump Manga Rookie Award competition in 2006, and the manga then ran in Shueisha's Akamaru Jump magazine that same year. He started his first serialized manga Shonen Shikku in 2010.

Saeki debuted as a manga illustrator with a one-shot in Shueisha's Jump NEXT! manga magazine in 2011.

Aside from the Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime series, Dohi has also served as a producer on anime such as: Shirobako, A Certain Magical Index III, A Certain Scientific Accelerator, Argevollen, Sirius the Jaeger, and the Wixoss anime franchise.

Tsukuda and Saeki launched Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012. Chef Yuki Morisaki is credited for cooperation for the manga. Viz Media publishes the manga digitally and in print. Shueisha also publishes the manga digitally in English on its MANGA Plus service.

The manga ended its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in June. Shueisha's Jump Giga magazine is publishing a three-chapter Shokugeki no Sōma: Le dessert epilogue manga, and will publish the third chapter on August 29.

The manga previously inspired three television anime series, and a fourth season will premiere in October.

Crunchyroll Expo will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in California from August 30 to September 1.
