Manga about girl in school with famous people launched in October 2017

The September issue of Shueisha's Ribon magazine revealed on Saturday that Mayu Sakai's Gunjō Reflection (Ultramarine Reflection) manga will end in the magazine's next issue on September 3.

The manga's story centers on Koharu, a first year student at Funakoshi High School's arts track. In a class full of popular and famous people, she feels alone in her unpopularity, but is nevertheless driven to one day do a job that no one else but her can do. She is selected to perform one of the lead roles in a mini-play in the freshman welcome party, which has been known to herald future popularity, and she will be performing alongside the gloomy Ren Serizawa.

Sakai launched the manga in Ribon in October 2017, and Shueisha published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on May 24.

Sakai's Sugar Soldier previously inspired an anime that aired in Oha-Suta ("Good Morning Star") children's television program in 2014. The manga ran in Ribon from 2011 to 2015, and Shueisha published 10 volumes for the manga.
