Akira Akatsuki, Atsurō Sakai's Boxer's Blast Boxing Manga Ends

The October issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine published the final chapter of Akira Akatsuki and Atsurō Sakai's BOXER's BLAST manga on Wednesday. Shueisha will ship the manga's third and final compiled book volume on October 3.

The manga centers on boxing champion Kento Watami and high school student Takashi Shirokiya. Takashi holds down two part-time jobs to support his younger sister. The two of them could not be more unlike each other, but their chance meeting carves a new mark in the history of boxing.

Akatsuki and Sakai launched the manga in Jump SQ. last November. Shueisha published the manga's second volume on June 4.

Akatsuk drew a manga adaptation of writer NisiOisin and illustrator Hikaru Nakamura's Juni Taisen: Zodiac War novel. The manga launched on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app and website in September 2017. Shueisha published the manga's fourth and final volume in July 2018. Viz Media is releasing the manga online for free, and also released the original novel. Viz Media published the fourth volume of the manga on July 2

NisiOisin and Akatsuki also collaborated on the Medaka Box manga. The manga launched in 2009iooiio and ended in 2013. The story inspired two television anime seasons.
