The official website for the television anime of Mado Nozaki's Babylon novels began streaming the second promotional video for the anime on Tuesday. The video reveals and previews the theme song of the anime's first arc "Live and let die" by Q-MHz feat.uloco., and also reveals three additional cast members for the anime.

The anime will have three arcs titled "Itteki no Doku" (One Drop of Poison), "Erabareta Shi" (The Chosen Death), and "Magaru Sekai" (Twisted World). Q-MHz is contributing a different theme song for each arc.

The additional cast members include:

Kazuyuki Okitsu as Ariyoshi Hanta

Katsuhisa Houki as Ryūichirō Nomaru

Ryōtarō Okiayu as Kaika Itsuki

The main cast includes:

Yūichi Nakamura as Zen Seizaki

Takahiro Sakurai as Shinobu Kujiin

Kenshō Ono as Atsuhiko Fumio

M.A.O as Hiasa Sekuro

Kenyuu Horiuchi as Yasutaka Morinaga

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on October 7 at 10:00 p.m. The series will then debut on BS11 and AT-X later that night.

The series' first arc "Itteki no Doku" (One Drop of Poison), which includes episodes 1 to 3, will begin streaming in advance on Amazon Prime Video in Japan on October 6 late at night at 12:00 a.m. (effectively October 7). The anime will stream exclusively both inside and outside Japan on Amazon Prime Video.

Revoroot is producing the anime, and Twin Engine is also credited for production.

The suspense story centers around Zen Seizaki, a prosecutor with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors' Office. While investigating illegal acts by a certain pharmaceutical company, Seizaki stumbles across a conspiracy over an election for an autonomous "new zone" established in western Tokyo.

Kodansha's novel label Kodansha Taiga released the novels' first volume in 2015, followed by the second in 2016. The third and final volume shipped in November 2017. Nobuhide Takishita launched a manga adaptation of the novels in February, and it will end with two volumes that will both ship on October 9.

Nozaki wrote the script for the KADO - The Right Answer anime. His other novels include know and Fantasista Doll: Eve.
