Hinomaruko Game's Tokyo Game Show Trailer Reveals Story

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
PS4, Switch takes place in alternate future in occupied Japanese Empire

The official website for publisher Pikii and developer Tamsoft's (Senran Kagura, Utawarerumono Zan games) Hinomaruko game began streaming the first teaser trailer for the game on Monday. The companies previously screened the trailer at Tokyo Game Show, where the companies announced the game.

The video reveals that the game's story takes place in an alternate future in 2039. In this future, the Japanese Empire is in a very dire state. After repeated defeats and battles during the 100 years of the Great East Asian War, the land was in complete ruin. Enemy nations now almost completely occupy the country. The military forces of America and the Soviet Union are forcing their way into the imperial capital of Tokyo, and it was obvious to everyone it was only a matter of time before the city's downfall. That is, until today.

The game will launch for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The action game is set in a military world in which a girl faces off against giant mecha.
