posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Episode titles, premiere dates, theme song revealed

The official website for Gekidan Sphere (Sphere Theater Troupe), the live-action television series starring the four-member voice actress and idol group Sphere, began streaming a teaser trailer on Tuesday. The teaser previews the show's theme song "Life is Wonder!!" by Sphere. The site also revealed a new visual, and the titles and premiere dates of each episode of the show.

The show is a collaboration between five playwrights and Sphere, and will be an omnibus series exploring various genres. Each episode has two halves with a different director, and a new episode will debut every two weeks. The episodes, their directors, and their premiere dates on Tokyo MX are as follows:

  • "Shelter" by Kōji Tokuo - October 16, 23
  • "Chinurarerta Brassiere" (Bloodstained Brassiere) by Ayuka Kishimoto - October 30, November 6
  • "Love Hotel 602" by Mitsutoshi Saijō - November 13, 20
  • "Katsubō ~Misoji no Matsuri ni~" (Longing ~A Festival of Turning 30~) by Kana Yamada - November 27, December 4
  • "Comic of the Dead" by Takashi Masuyama - December 11, 18

The series will be Sphere's first entirely live-action fiction series (as opposed to the 2011 variety show Sphere Club), and the group will also perform the series' theme song.

Sphere is made up of voice actresses Minako Kotobuki, Ayahi Takagaki, Haruka Tomatsu, and Aki Toyosaki. They performed themes for Hatsukoi Limited, Sora no Manimani, Demon King Daimao, Cat Planet Cuties, Zakuro, Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow, Squid Girl, Natsu-iro Kiseki, the third season of Bakuman., Arata The Legend, I couldn't become a hero, so I reluctantly decided to get a job., Nanana's Buried Treasure, Yatterman Night, Ultimate Otaku Teacher, Matoi the Sacred Slayer, and Two Car.

The group recently returned from a hiatus since 2017 with their new single "best friends," which debuted on June 19. The song was used as the fourth ending theme song for the Zoids Wild anime.
