posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Atsushi Ono, Keiko Han also join cast of October 2 anime

The official website for the television anime of Light Tuchihi's The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious (Kono Yūsha ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchō Sugiru) novels revealed three new cast members for the anime on Friday. he new cast members include (Note: Character name romanizations are not official):

Hibiku Yamamura as Aliadoa, a senior goddess to Ristarte, who has rescued countless other worlds from peril.

  • Atsushi Ono as Selseus, a brawny sword deity
  • Keiko Han as Ishista, a goddess from the unified divine realms

The anime will premiere on AT-X on October 2 at 10:30 p.m. The show will then debut on AbemaTV, Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV later that night, before premiering on TV Aichi and BS11 on October 3. AbemaTV will exclusively stream the series in Japan.

Previously announced cast members include:

Yuichiro Umehara as protagonist Seiya Ryūgūin, the absurdly cautious hero that the rookie goddess Ristarte summoned. While his stats are absurdly high, nothing is higher than his caution stat.

Aki Toyosaki as Ristarte, a newly minted goddess of healing. She summoned Seiya in order to save the world of Geabrande, a world of S-class difficulty level, but she ends up with a hero with an overly cautious nature.

Kengo Kawanishi as Mash, a dragonblooded warrior who aims to defeat the Demon Lord. He teams up with Seiya, but is relegated to carrying items

Aoi Koga as Eruru, a dragonblooded magic user and Mash's childhood friend. As with Mash, Seiya tasks her with carrying items.

Masayuki Sakoi (Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, Matoi the Sacred Slayer, Celestial Method) is directing the anime at White Fox. Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil, Vinland Saga) is writing and supervising the series' scripts, and Mai Toda (Matoi the Sacred Slayer, Girls' Last Tour) is designing the characters.

MYTH&ROID is performing the opening theme song "TIT FOR TAT," and Riko Azuna is performing the ending theme song "be perfect, plz!"

The story begins when the goddess Rista summons a hero to help her hard mode video game-like world. The hero, Seiya, is exceptional in every way, but he is incredibly cautious. He does things like buy three sets of armor (one to wear, a spare, and a spare for the spare) and go full power against weak slimes (just in case).

Tsuchihi launched the novel series on the Kakuyomu website in June 2016, and Kadokawa published the first volume in print with illustrations by Saori Toyota in February 2017. The fifth volume shipped last November, and the sixth will ship on October 10. Yen Press licensed the novels, and shipped the first volume on June 18.

Koyuki (Log Horizon: The West Wind Brigade) launched the manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine last November, and Kadokawa shipped the first volume on May 9. The second volume will ship on October 9.
