Daisuke Kishio joins cast of series premiering on Friday

The official Twitter account for Zoids Wild Zero, the second season of the Zoids Wild anime, revealed on Monday that Hazuki Senda will perform the ending theme song "Hikari" (Light). Senda is making her debut as both a singer and a voice actress with "Hikari" and her role as Sally Land in the anime. The Twitter account also revealed that Daisuke Kishio will play Luc in the anime.

The official Twitter account announced last Thursday that Ivy to Fraudulent Game are performing the opening theme song "blue blue blue."

The anime will premiere on Friday. The series will air on TV Tokyo 's six networks at 5:55 p.m. on Fridays. The anime will then premiere on TV Wakayama on October 17 at 5:30 p.m. and Sendai Television Incorporated on October 27 at 8:30 a.m.

The cast includes:

The anime's main staff are reuniting from the Zoids and Zoids/ZERO anime. Takao Kato is directing the series at OLM. Kenichi Araki is handling series composition, while Tadashi Sakazaki is in charge of character designs. Yūki Matsuoka is also returning from Zoids Wild and Zoids Genesis as sound director, and Yoshihisa Hirano (Hunter x Hunter, Beyblade) is composing the music.

The tagline on the series' visual reads, "The future of Zoids begins from Zero." As the tagline indicates, the second season features an entirely brand-new story with new main leads and Zoids units based on Takara Tomy's robotic model kits. The story centers on a boy named Leo Conrad who is skilled at modifying Zoids. The other characters showcased in the video above include Jō Aiseru and Lieutenant Colonel Dias of the Republic Forces, as well as Squad Leader Ryukku, Sergeant Shell, and First Lieutenant "Red Death" Gireru of the Empire Forces. The video ends with Leo's big-brother-like comrade Buzz Cunningham and Sally Land, a girl who holds the key to Earth's rebirth with a mysterious pendant.

The visual above features Leo's ZW25 Beast Liger and Ryukku's ZW26 Cannon Bull, two kits which went on sale in Japan on Saturday. (Jō's Zoids is the Raptoria, and Triceradogos Kai, Bazootle, and Sniptera belong to Dias, Shell, and Gireru respectively.)

A new Zoids Wild manga launched in the September issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Coro Coro Comics magazine in August 10.

Tomy launched the Zoids toy model franchise in 1983. Takara Tomy announced the Zoids Wild franchise in February 2018 with anime, manga, toy model kit line, and Nintendo Switch game. The first television anime season premiered in July 2018, and ended this past June.

Norihiko Sudo (Kenyū Densetsu Yaiba, ToHeart2, Pocket Monsters: Diamond & Pearl) directed the first anime season at Oriental Light and Magic. Mitsutaka Hirota (Sweetness & Lightning, The Prince of Tennis II, Anime-Gataris) was in charge of the series scripts. Yūki Matsuoka (Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, Beyblade: Metal Fury) served as sound director and Noriyuki Asakura (Knights of Sidonia, Rurouni Kenshin) composed the music.

Moricha launched the Zoids Wild manga in Monthly Coro Coro Comics in April 2018, and ended it in the June issue of the magazine on May 15. The Zoids Wild King of Blast Switch game launched in February.

Allspark, the studio formerly known as Hasbro Studios, promoted a "brand-new" Zoids series at the MIPTV content trade show in France in April. Allspark's promotion did not specify which Zoids series it is covering, but the image on its page appeared to show Wild Liger from the first Zoids Wild season.
