ARJUNA – INTO THE ANOTHER WORLD, THE END OF EVANGELION, and GUNPARADE MARCH – SPIRIT OF SAMURAI
ANIME SOUNDTRACKS
From wildly creative musical minds and Geneon Entertainment comes a new slate of exciting anime music, spanning the ground-breaking classics as well as the hottest new series. Fan-favorite Yoko Kanno (Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop) continues her legacy of capturing the elegant strains of adventure with her score to Arjuna, and the acclaimed Kenji Kawai (Ghost In The Shell, Avalon) provides the sounds of heroism for Gunparade March – Spirit of Samurai. In addition, the classic soundtrack to The End of Evangelion, one of the great touchstones of the anime community, is available for the first time in North America. Each soundtrack features a full-color CD insert booklet, including English lyrics, forward introductions and phonetic Japanese lyrics for karaoke. Arriving on May 11, each is priced at $14.98.

Geneon Entertainment offers anime fans the chance to receive a bonus anime CD with its Anime CD Promotion. Fans who mail in proof of purchase cards from four Geneon Anime CDs released between January 2004 through August 2004 will receive a bonus CD of their choice. At the forefront of importing Japanese pop culture to North America, Geneon has released over two-dozen original anime soundtracks.

Arjuna Original Soundtrack – Into The Another World
Recognized as one of the most gifted and innovative anime composers, Yoko Kanno's list of eclectic and adventurous masterworks includes Macross Plus, Escaflowne, Wolf's Rain, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Cowboy Bebop. For her latest musical triumph, she teams up with Maaya Sakamoto (Escaflowne, Rahxephon, Cardcaptor Sakura), Tsuneo Imahori (Gungrave, Trigun) and Keishi Urata (Texhnolyze, Akira) to deliver a sumptuous, elegantly ethnic-sounding aural regale, with tribal and celtic pieces sprinkled in. The soundtrack features eight emotionally-stirring instrumentals and 13 must-hear vocal tracks including the opening theme, “Early Bird,” and ending theme songs, “Motor Bike,” “Mameshiba” and “Air & Stars.”

The End Of Evangelion – Movie Soundtrack
The End of Evangelion is the shocking theatrical conclusion to Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the most unpredictable and controversial anime series of all time. The movie's dramatic atmosphere is perfectly conveyed and intensified even further thanks to the grand-scale musical rendering of composer Shiro Sagisu, whose orchestral composition complements and beautifully contrasts the film's cataclysmic storylines. This movie soundtrack contains 12 superb instrumental tracks along with two notably moving English language songs, “Thanatos – If I Can't Be Yours” and “Come Sweet Death.”

Gunparade March Original Soundtrack – Spirit Of Samurai
More than just another sci-fi anime glamorizing giant robots, Gunparade March focuses on strong character-driven story-lines and utilizes an equally strong and thrilling musical score. Famed composer Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor WXIII: The Movie) draws from his instrumental versatility to skillfully create 34 tracks of high-quality, exhilarating music and vocals. This CD features 32 instrumental tracks and two songs, including the opening theme, “Door of Truth,” sung by fan-favorite Yoko Ishida (Ai Yori Aoshi, Texhnolyze) and the closing theme, “Over the Darkness.”
