Godzilla® celebrates his 50th Anniversary in 2004, and in honor of the legendary film phenomenon, ADV Films today announced a May 18, 2004 release date for the 50th anniversary special edition classic monster movie Destroy All Monsters that includes the original motion picture DVD and the original motion picture soundtrack CD. The film features several well-known characters from Japanese cinema, including Godzilla, Mothra® and Rodan™, and revived the then-flagging Godzilla movie franchise after its initial release in the sixties. Explosive action and nonstop fun highlight this classic monster melee masterpiece!
The Story
Under the command of alien invaders, an army of cinema's most famous monsters declares war against the Earth! Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan and more of the world's greatest menaces have been detained on Monsterland, a seemingly inescapable island corral keeping mankind safe from suffering at the hands (and claws, tails and nuclear breath) of the cross colossi. Humanity's worst fears become all too real when malevolent aliens free the monsters in a plot to subjugate mankind. ADV Films today announced a May 18, 2004 release date for Nadia, The Secret of Blue Water: Collection 1. Inspired by Jules Verne's classic novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Nadia, The Secret of Blue Water was directed by Hideaki Anno and animated by GAINAX (Neon Genesis Evangelion).
The Story
Obsessed with returning the Atlantean empire to its former glory, the evil Gargoyle will stop at nothing to get his hands on the Blue Water—the mysterious gem the young circus acrobat Nadia wears around her neck. Nadia may be a target for Gargoyle's forces, but she's not alone—not only has the young inventor Jean Ratlique come to Nadia's rescue, but so has the extraordinary Captain Nemo! Climb aboard Nemo's legendary submarine, the Nautilus, as our intrepid heroes journey from one exotic locale to the next in their mission to keep the Blue Water away from Gargoyle's devious clutches!
Nadia, The Secret of Blue Water: Collection 1 ($49.98 SRP DVD) is a DVD-only release featuring more than eight hours of 20 complete episodes on five discs in both English 2.0- and Japanese 2.0-language versions with English subtitles.
