LADY DEATH: THE MOTION PICTURE IS NUMBER ONE FOR OCTOBER

Lady Death Leads Nielsen VideoScan Top Ten List

HOUSTON, December 13, 2004 – Continuing its reign of success, Lady Death: The Motion Picture, the original animated production from ADV Films, has been listed by Nielsen's Top Ten VideoScan as the number one selling Japanese animated DVD for the month of October.

The epic tale of a young woman's betrayal by the arch-demon Lucifer marks the first adaptation of an American comic book character by North America's largest producer and distributor of Japanese animation.

Lady Death: The Motion Picture was officially released nationwide on Tuesday, October 5th 2004 and in its first week of release broke many of ADV's customer's sell-through records for a new release title. In addition to holding the number one spot on Amazon.com's top seller list of anime DVDs for several weeks, Lady Death was also the top selling DVD release for ADV Films for the first 4 consecutive weeks since its release and continued to show high sales numbers throughout the month of November.

“ADV has always believed in Lady Death as the ultimate bad girl, so we are very excited to see that fans agree,” says John Ledford, President and C.E.O. of ADV Films.

“Producing a project as epic as Lady Death was a big change for ADV,” adds ADV co-founder, Matt Greenfield. “I think the whole production team deserves applause for bringing this project to fruition and I'm pleased that the legions of Lady Death fans are excited as well.”
