ADV Announces Gantz Vol 2

the laws of life and death NO LONGER APPLY

HOUSTON, February 17, 2005 – The game of death continues March 8, 2005 as the shocking thriller that was too hot for Japanese television plows mercilessly forward. Prepare yourself for the second vicious volume of the uncut and unedited Gantz: Kill or Be Killed.

Gantz is a mega-violent mind bender that questions the human perception of life and death. Produced by animation powerhouse Gonzo Digimation (Full Metal Panic!, Chrono Crusade, Peacemaker), Gantz proved to be far too intense and graphic for Japanese broadcast, with massive edits and digital re-cropping required in order to be aired. Now you can experience Gantz in its full uncut, no-holds-barred glory with ADV Films' DVD release. Please be advised, however, that Gantz contains extremely graphic violence, language, nudity and frank sexual situations that may offend some viewers. Gantz is for mature viewers only.

The brutal game continues, but only half of the original players remain alive. As the Gantz clock counts down and the body count continues to rise, the only way to survive is to join the cycle of death; to kill or be killed. Trapped between monstrous foes and their inhuman master, the survivors' only hope is to unlock the secrets buried inside their alien weaponry and combat suits… but will they live long enough to use them? The series that shocked Japan will cut your senses to the bone in the second mind-blowing volume of GANTZ!

“No matter how you look at it, Gantz is going to be one of the big names in 2005. The animation, action, and sheer violence will grab you by the shirt collar and bi#$h-slap you silly.” -- DVDVisionJapan.com

Limited Collector's Edition Available!

The first volume of Gantz is also available as a Collector's Edition, which includes the Gantz: Game of Death, Volume 1 DVD and an attractive custom series art box to house the first six volumes of the series (SRP $27.98).

Gantz: Kill or Be Killed, Volume Two (SPR $17.98) is a DVD-only release with 2 complete episodes presented in anamorphic widescreen in English 5.1 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles. Extras include: clean opening and closing animations, interview with Daisuke Namikawa (Kei Kurono), and ADV previews.
