Gravity Anounces New MMOG: Rose Online

GRAVITY INTERACTIVE'S NEW MMOG, ROSE ONLINE
WILL ALLOW GAMERS TO WAGE INTERPLANETARY WAR

MARINA DEL REY, CA, Sept. XX, 2005 - Gravity Interactive, a developer and distributor of massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs), is rolling out ROSE Online, a deep impact game that allows players to inhabit the star system, wage interplanetary war and rule the galaxy.

Unlike other MMOGs, ROSE Online will immerse players into a universe
with access not only to distant lands, but also distant worlds. The
imaginative universe of ROSE Online consists of seven unique planets. Each planet has its own set of particular environments and characteristics.

ROSE Online is one of the few MMOGs targeted at the teen and tween
audience. The game provides a safe, fun medium for adventuring and socializing for today's internet savvy and sophisticated youth. ROSE Online will thrust players into a rich storyline and allow them to interact in ways much different from traditional MMOGs.

Players will have the option to join factions or guilds. Every faction
has a level of control on the economy, politics, public orders, magic,
arts and religion. Within each faction, separatist alliances can be
formed by players. Rather than a small-scale war, guilds unite to fight for the fate of an entire planet.

“Our goal is to make games and services that bring people together and enrich their lives,” said Peter Kang, Executive Director of Gravity
Interactive. “Combining the sophisticated elements found in some MMO games with a cartoon, fairy-tale environment, ROSE Online provides a compelling game experience for a young user demographic.”

Published by Korea-based Gravity Corp., the game will launch in North America in Q4 2005. The North America release follows the game's already successful debut in Asia and Europe.

One interesting aspect of ROSE Online is that players can commandeer an array of vehicles. They can traverse the landscape using a cart uniquely built for their character, or take to the air in a flying vessel. The invention of ROSE Online's mobile armament, CastleGear, has changed the way battles are fought and won within this MMOG.

ROSE Online will also have a fully functional economy, based off supply and demand forces. Materials for creating items will be distributed differently in various areas, creating surplus in some locations while causing a deficit in others. As materials become scarce, NPCs will increase their prices and activate quests to encourage players to hunt monsters for materials.

ROSE Online will be offered through the game's official website,
www.roseonlinegame.com. Closed beta testing for ROSE Online began on Sept. 1 with open beta testing slated to begin Oct. 7.
