Matsuricon Brings Unique Blend of Japanese Culture to Central Ohio

MATSURICON BRINGS UNIQUE BLEND OF JAPANESE CULTURE TO CENTRAL OHIO!

COLUMBUS OHIO - SEPTEMBER 2005 - Central Ohio has a new event to look
forward to in the spring of 2006! Matsuricon will be a family-oriented
event revolving around popular and
traditional Japanese Culture. With extended dates of April 20th - 23rd
2006, Matsuricon will take place at the Radisson Hotel and Conference
Center in Worthington Ohio.

Matsuricon will feature many events spread out over a four day period.
Key features of the event include: "Festival Row" where artists will
display their Japanese inspired works, "Matsuri Street" featuring the
vendors and faire of Japan, educational panels and workshops, a video
game room featuring Japanese import games, musical performances from
drumming to pop and rock, anime and live action Japanese film rooms,
costume balls and stage contests, karaoke,
traditional festival games, and more!

Matsuricon Mission Statement - It is the goal of Matsuricon and the
volunteer staff to provide a weekend of education through
demonstrations and entertainment relative to Japanese Culture and
Traditions both new and old.

About Matsuricorp - Matsuricorp is registered with the State of Ohio
as a non-profit
corporation. Through our membership donations, vendors, and sponsors,
we plan to have a yearly event in Central Ohio in the spring. Our
programming is dedicated to furthering public knowledge of Japan and
Japanese Culture. Our staff is composed of volunteers who donate their
time and years of event experience to develop Matsuricon, making it a
great event for families to enjoy.
