CENTRAL PARK MEDIA SELECTED TO REPRESENT U.S. ANIME INDUSTRY AT TOKYO INTERNATIONAL ANIME
FAIR EVENT

Local NY Firm Smashes Sake Barrel at Opening Ceremonies

New York, NY (February 10, 2006) – Leading anime distributor Central Park Media Corporation (CPM), in cooperation with the government of Tokyo, Japan, is proud to announce CPM's assistance in promoting the Tokyo International Anime Fair New York events held in New York City this week.

CPM conducted a marketing campaign including over 100,000 email announcements sent to area anime and manga fans, in addition to providing tote bags for the event participants. As a gesture of appreciation, CPM Managing Director John O'Donnell was selected to represent the US anime industry at the opening ceremonies. He did so by helping the Vice Governor of Tokyo, Mr. Yasuo Sekiya and Japan's Deputy Consul-General to America, Mr. Hiroshi Satō, smash open the lid of a large sake barrel in a traditional ceremony known as "Kagami Biraki."

"We are proud to be able to help the government of Tokyo promote the Tokyo International Anime Fair," commented O'Donnell. "It is one of the most important trade shows for the anime and manga industries, and we are the only US company to be present at each of the Fair's Opening Ceremonies since its inception."
