CPM Unveils Negadon Contest, Website, Trailer and Screening

CENTRAL PARK MEDIA UNVEILS "NEGADON" CONTEST, WEBSITE, TRAILER, AND SCREENING

Negadon News Makes Big Splash At New York Comic-Con

New York, NY (March 3, 2005) – Leading anime distributor Central Park Media made news at February 24-26's New York Comic-Con with four revelations about the upcoming DVD release of CPM's highly anticipated computer-generated Japanese monster movie – Negadon: The Monster from Mars. CPM's Managing Director John O'Donnell and Assistant Marketing Manager Peter Tatara devoted a third of the CPM Comic-Con Panel to Negadon: The Monster from Mars, a title called "a dream come true" by independent and cult movie portal AintItCoolNews.com and "flawless" by online Godzilla hub MonsterZero.us.

At the panel, O'Donnell and Tatara revealed:

- NegadonAttacks.com. The official Negadon: The Monster from Mars website was launched in conjunction with New York Comic-Con and is online at www.NegadonAttacks.com. The site currently contains a wealth of Negadon information and images and will be continually updated with more content as the summer nears.

- Negadon Teaser Trailer. CPM premiered the Negadon North American trailer at its New York Comic-Con Panel. Tatara noted that Negadon's Japanese trailers have been passed from fan to fan over the internet for months and encouraged fans to post and share the new CPM trailer on websites, forums, and blogs. The North American Negadon trailer can be found at www.NegadonAttacks.com.

- Negadon Kaiju Contest. As Negadon: The Monster from Mars is a tribute to Godzilla, Mothra, and the entirety of the Japanese monster movie genre, CPM wants to give Japanese monster movie fans a special treat by offering them a chance to have their own original Japanese-style giant monster artwork included on CPM's Negadon DVD. From now until March 25, fans may submit their original artwork to www.NegadonAttacks.com. CPM will be including as many entries as possible on the Negadon DVD.

- Negadon at Anime Syracuse. At its New York Comic-Con Panel, CPM made its first North American Negadon screening announcement. Fans who don't want to wait until Negadon's summer DVD release will be able to see Negadon in the Anime Syracuse Film Festival in Syracuse's Palace Theatre on March 25. For more on the event, visit www.AnimeSyracuse.com. Tatara stated CPM will be making further announcements regarding convention, festival, and theatrical screenings in the coming weeks.

"Negadon has received universal praise from fans," Tatara told the panel attendees. "And we want fans to know CPM is as amazed by Negadon as you are." CPM encourages fans to visit www.NegadonAttacks.com regularly and look forward to new information, art, and screening announcements leading up to the film's summer DVD release.

About Negadon: The Monster from Mars
Directed by Jun Awazu from his original script and rendered in staggeringly realistic computer graphics, Negadon: The Monster from Mars pays homage to a wide variety of 1950's and 60's Japanese monster movies such as Godzilla, Mothra, and other classics which first brought global attention to Japan's then-emerging post-war feature film industry.

Negadon is the world's first completely computer-generated monster movie. The film was in production for over three years and required the invention of special rendering algorithms to reproduce a 1950's style look.

Unleashed in Japan in October 2005, Negadon won the Outstanding Production Award at the 20th Digital Contents Grand Prix and was named a Jury Recommended Work at the 9th Japan Media Arts Festival.
