Jacon 2006 Guests

ORLANDO, FL, MARCH 13, 2006: JACON, Central Florida's most successful fan-based anime and Japanese culture convention, has announced the guest lineup for their 2006 convention (the event takes place the weekend of April 28th-30th at the Sheraton World Resort in Orlando, Florida.) Billy West, the original voice of Stimpy on the classic cartoon “Ren & Stimpy” and also Philip J. Fry on “Futurama”, will be this year's guest of honor. Joining him will be three cast members from the popular Internet based comedy “Red vs. Blue”: Geoff Ramsey (Grif), Dan Godwin (Donut), and Joel Heyman (Caboose). Returning this year are popular voice talents George Lowe of “Space Ghost Coast to Coast” and Brett Weaver of “Super Dimensional Fortress Macross”.



JACON started in 2000 on the campus of the University of Central Florida as a gathering for fans of Japanese animation of related media. It features viewings, panels, events, game shows, and more surrounding all aspects of the genre including anime, manga, video games, and more. This year's events include The Wasabi Animusical 2006, a Manga Masquerade, Limbo – an alternative dance party, and a soon to be announced all night dance spectacle.



JACON continues to this day to be run and operated by students and fans who wish to educate and entertain about this very popular sub-culture.
