New Metrocon Vendor Signup System

TAMPA BAY, FL, March 14, 2006 – METROCON's brand new Vendor Signup System (VSS) is now online. Due to its exponential growth in attendance, METROCON is expanding its vendor area this year and moving it to the upper West Hall of the Tampa Convention Center. Attendance of METROCON reached 3,700 in 2005 and is expected to reach 5,000 in 2006. The West Hall is a 75 thousand square foot area that will have one hundred (100) booths available for sale. The hall will also include a large artist alley section, guest signing area, a stage for vendor product demonstrations, table top gaming and a food court.

To accommodate an increased amount of vendors, METROCON has internally developed an incredibly easy to use software system that allows each vendor to reserve their booths online. The Vendor Signup System (VSS) speeds up the process of vendor registration and allows immediate notification of payment by PayPal. After a payment is made, the vendor name and description, as well as reserved booth numbers is automatically made available to the public via the METROCON website. Features of the Vendor Signup System include: account management, vendor booth maps, online booth reservations, automatic payments via PayPal, online directory of booths, vendor banner advertising and a help section. Vendors seeking to reserve West Hall stage times for product demonstrations should contact METROCON directly.
