ADV Announces New Ellcia Collection

The Classic Anime Available for the First Time on DVD

HOUSTON, August 31, 2006 — ADV Films, the number one producer-distributor of anime outside of Japan, is proud to bring you the Ellcia Collection, available for the first time on DVD, which hits store shelves on September 26!

Ellcia is “two jiggers of Wizards with a shot of Pirates of Dark Water, a healthy swallow of Grimm's Fairy Tales, and a sprinkle of Pippi Longstocking thrown in for seasoning” (Sci Fi.com). With character designs by Yasuomi Umetsu (Mezzo, Kite), Ellcia is a captivating fantasy adventure for all ages. Combining pirate ships, treasure and ancient secrets, it is a classic anime that all fans should add to their collection.

Synopsis: The Sacred Book of the land of Eija has been rediscovered, and with it the legends of a mysterious and all powerful ship. Now Princess Crystal of Megaronia has set forth on a quest to recover the ship and its ultimate weaponry. All that stands between her and total domination of the world is a small group of piratical misfits. Swords, sorcery and technology blend to form a mesmerizing tale of Good vs. Evil in Ellcia.

Ellcia Complete (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including all four episodes in the series, presented in English, Spanish, and Japanese with English subtitles. Extras include a production portfolio video and previews of upcoming ADV Films releases.
