Ft. Lauderdale, FL. — Florida Supercon has just added five new guests and it's first band to the growing convention lineup. Kevin "BATMAN" Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited), PEELANDER-Z (The Japanese Action Comic Punk band), Patrick Martin (Writer/Filmmaker), Brian Kirsten (Brain Scan Studios), George Moss (Artist) and Matt Reynolds (Artist).
Kevin Conroy is well known as the voice behind BATMAN in Batman: The Animated Series, which began airing in 1992. Kevin has now voiced the character for 15 years in the series The New Batman Adventures, Batman Beyond, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. He's also voiced the character in guest appearances on Superman: The Animated Series, Static Shock and The Zeta Project, as well as starred in the feature-length movies Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman. Mr. Conroy has received an exceptional amount of praise for his work in the role from fans and critics. In a tally of performances, including every episode, movie, and guest appearance he made, he has played Batman more times than Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and Christian Bale combined.
BY SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT WITH MR. CONROY FOR THIS RARE CONVENTION APPEARANCE - All attendees to Florida Supercon will receive a free autograph ticket with their admission ticket. Each autograph ticket is good for 2 "free" autographs from Mr. Conroy at the show. Additional autograph tickets will available for purchase online or at the show. You may bring your own items for Mr. Conroy to sign. Photos and other items will be on sale at the show. To make sure everyone gets to meet Mr. Conroy, and to keep lines as short as possible, you will be assigned to 1 of 5 autograph sessions. We will be posting autograph session times online as we get closer to the show. Advance ticket holders will receive their autograph tickets at the show.
PEELANDER-Z, the Japanese Action Comic Punk Band, was formed by Peelander-Yellow, Peelander-Blue, and Peelander-Red (claim they are from Z area in the Planet Peelander!!) in 1998, and came into action based in NYC.
These three dress up in color-coordinated costumes about as if they came out of Japanese Animation (claim those are not costumes, but the skin!!!) put on a fun entertainment. Yes, their performance is not just playing music. Have you heard of human bowling, wrestling and kung-fu action, or funny dance at the punk rock shows? Peelander-Z knows how to entertain the audience by dragging them into the show. One experience would capture you!! Peelander-Z is the best of the universe! Peelander-Z has been appearing not only on the major music festivals like Bonnaroo Music Festival, CMJ and SXSW, but also on the TV programs like Best Week Ever on VH1, Upright Citizens Brigade on Comedy Central and MXC: Most Extreme Challenge on Spike TV, and on Anime Network. They have played with many national bands, such as Buckethead, Electric Six, Particles, and more. Florida Supercon is a multi-format convention for comic book, sci-fi, animation and anime fans taking place June 22-24, 2007 in Ft. Lauderdale. FL. The show will include celebrity guests, writers, artists, filmmakers, vendors, guests, Q&A's, film festival, parties, costume contest, giveaways, anime programming, manga, cosplay, workshops, panels and more.
