The Animated Series Oban Star-Racers Airing in Japan on NHK BS2

Sav! The World Productions is proud to announce the broadcast of the animated series Oban Star-Racers in Japan on NHK BS2, the satellite channel of Japan's national channel, every Saturday morning from Octobre 6th 2007.
Already aired successfully in more than 70 countries (Toondisney and ABC Family in the USA, Super RTL in Germany, GMTV in the UK, France 3 in France and all of Jetix's cable channels, among others), this Japanese broadcast is in many ways a logical step. The series' French creators were raised on classic Japanese anime and the production itself took place for the most part in Tokyo where the French artistic team of Sav! The World Production lived and worked hand in hand with top Japanese artists including renowned composers Yoko Kanno and Iwasaki Taku for almost three years - the first time collaboration with Japan takes place at such a high level.

To see an animated series created and directed by Frenchmen land on a Japanese TV channel remains a rare feat however, and it certainly is a validation of all the hard work the artistic teams of Sav! The World and their partner Hal Film Maker put into making the series.
We are of course very pleased at STW with this outcome!

Created, written and produced by Savin Yeatman-Eiffel, directed by Savin Yeatman-Eiffel and Thomas Romain, Oban Star-Racers was developed and produced by Sav! The World Productions in co-production with Jetix Europe, and in association with the Japanese companies Bandai Visual and Hal Film Maker.
Main Japanese staff include Yoko Kanno (Opening and closing), Iwasaki Taku (BGM) and storyboarders Kiyoko Sayama, Sōichi Masui and Yoshimitsu Ohhashi.
