Tsubasacon Announces 2008 Convention Dates

COOL RIDGE, WEST VIRGINIA – October 14, 2007 – Tsubasacon Inc., has announced the official dates for Tsubasacon 2008, the fifth outing for West Virginia's only anime convention.

Tsubasacon 2008 will be held on September 26, 27 and 28. The decision to bump the convention ahead was due to the potential conflict of having the convention on the same weekend as a Marshall University home football game.

"We've been lucky so far with our scheduling," quotes Jerad Bailey, the head of Tsubasacon's publications department, "but we couldn't predict what Marshall's home schedule was going to look like in October."

Marshall will be hosting Cincinnati at the Joan C. Edwards stadium on the first weekend of October, when Tsubasacon 2007 was held.

"We had the whole month of September to work with, but we wanted to try to keep the date as close as possible with the previous year." said Bailey.

ABOUT TSUBASACON, INC.: First established in 2004, Tsubasacon is West Virginia's first annual convention focusing on Japanese animation and comics, respectively know as "anime" and "manga". In early 2006, control of the event was transferred from the non-profit organization Charleston Anime and Manga Society, Inc. to the non-profit organization Tsubasacon, Inc. Tsubasacon, Inc.'s goals are to promote the anime and manga in West Virginia and to develop a social framework though which anime and manga fans can interact with each other.
