Chris Malone to be a Guest at Setsucon 2008

The staff of Setsucon is excited to announce that Chris Malone will be attending Setsucon. Chris Malone is the creator and artist for the popular surfing webcomic, Blue and Blond. (www.blueandblond.com)
In addition to having a table in the artist alley, Mr. Malone will be running two panels: “Webcomics 101” and “Webcomic Business and Management.”
About Setsucon:
Setsucon is a second year anime convention that debuted in January of 2007 in State College, Pennsylvania. The purpose of Setsucon is to provide a fun, educational, social experience for our con-goers where we can celebrate Japanese culture in a major college setting. As a young convention, we are working to expand our resources and bring our best to the area's anime fans.

Pokemon Movie: Black Dub.DVD
Overall, neither Pokemon the Movie: Black or its White counterpart really stands out from the already packed herd. While not terrible, these are films that can be safely left alone unless you or your child have a compulsion to truly catch 'em all.

It turns out that the great NisiOisin/Gainax collaboration is just another mission-of-the-week comedy. Sad, that. And boring.

Hiiro no Kakera is by no means a terrible show...it just isn't a very good one, either. With a stilted script and a team of heroes who feel incompetent, not to mention cookie cutter characters who do little to make themselves endearing or unusual, it does nothing to elevate itself above the masses.
