Anime Selects - Tokyo Reporter 2008

Anime Selects is holding auditions for Tokyo Reporter 2008. There are two ways to audition: 1) On-site at New York Anime Festival 12/8 & 12/9 at the Javits Convention Center. Anime Selects booth #247; 2) Video upload via Tokyo Reporter site www.animeselects.com/tokyo. Video uploads start 12/3/07 and end 2/15/08, midnight Eastern Standard.

For Anime Selects' inaugural 2007 coverage, we sent Tasayu Tasnaphun to Tokyo where his assignments ranged from Tokyo lifestyles to TAF (Tokyo International Anime Fair). Check out his blog at Anime Selects dot com backslash tokyo backslash blog (http://www.animeselects.com/tokyo/blog/). Click on "Assignments" under the Categories column and check out any of the entries and his video blog. His assignments ranged from visiting a maid cafe in Akihabara to meeting Kitty in Sanrio Puroland to stopping by studio GONZO and, of course, TAF.

For Anime Selects' 2008 coverage, Anime Selects is looking to viewers to choose the next Tokyo Reporter. Viewers will be given the opportunity to vote for the best reporter in February 2008. The auditions will be posted on the Anime Selects website and Tokyo Reporter page. Audition details are listed on the Tokyo Reporter website.

Peter Heumiller, Vice President of Content Development at Comcast, says, "We look forward to holding auditions and sending a fan again to Tokyo as our reporter. Last year, we received hundreds of auditions and selected fan Tasayu Tasnaphun to cover the Tokyo Anime Fair and Tokyo lifestyle with our camera crew in tow. We were delighted by the positive feedback viewers gave us during his coverage on his blog and his Video on Demand programming segments. It encouraged us to continue with this unique and fun way of interaction among the Otaku. We have some very unique assignments prepared for this year's Anime Selects Tokyo Reporter."
