Hit Anime Series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion to Appear on Adult Swim

December 8, 2008 (Cypress, Ca) – Bandai Entertainment, INC., announced today at New York
Anime Festival that the Sunrise anime series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (pronounced
“gee-S”) will debut on Adult Swim starting in the Spring of 2008 with a special sneak peek of
Episode 1 on the free streaming venue, Friday Night Fix.

One of the most highly anticipated anime series of '08, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
features animation studio Sunrise and a story by Goro Taniguchi (s-CRY-ed, Planetes) and Ichiro
Okouchi (Eureka Seven, Planetes) and character designs by the legendary manga creators
CLAMP. The story is a military drama with intricate plot lines and robotic action about the
character Lelouch and his journey to overthrow a totalitarian regime that has invaded Japan. The
series has garnered an amazing number of accolades since its premiere in Japan: Winner of Best
Anime Series, 6th Annual Tokyo Anime Awards 2007, Winner Best Anime TV series, Animation
KOBE Event, Winner Best Anime TV series, Male Character and Song, 29th Animage Anime
Grand Prix Awards, and winner of best male and female voice actor at the Seiyu Awards, to
name a few.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion will follow its broadcast with a DVD release planned for
Summer 2008.
