Online Pre-Registration is open for Metrocon 2008

METROCON – Florida's Largest Anime Convention 
July 18 - 20, 2008 at the Tampa Convention Center

TAMPA BAY, FL, December 20, 2007 – METROCON officially announces Pre-registration is officially open for METROCON 6, Florida's largest anime convention via the convention Web site at www.metroconventions.com. The event's sixth year is scheduled to take place on the weekend of July 18- 20, 2008, at the Tampa Convention Center, Tampa, FL.

METROCON is a weekend-long celebration of the numerous facets of Japanese popular entertainment – from anime (Japanese animation), manga (Japanese comics), J-pop and J-Rock (Japanese pop and rock music, performed by “idols”) to cosplay (costume design and performance) and video games.

Membership rates for METROCON 2008 are as follows:

VIP Tickets:
Tier 1: $75.00 Tickets 001-100
Tier 2: $80.00 Tickets 101-200

Three-Day Membership (Friday, Saturday and Sunday):

Adults:
Tier 1: $40.00 from 12/08/2007 to 12/31/2007
Tier 2: $44.00 from 01/01/2008 to 03/31/2008
Tier 3: $48.00 from 04/01/2008 to 06/20/2008

Children, 6-12:
Tier 1: $20.00 from 11/01/2007 to 12/31/2007
Tier 2: $25.00 from 01/01/2008 to 06/20/2008

Children under 5: Free, with paid adult admission.

Pre-registration rates for groups of 15 or more are calculated on the registration page on the website.
