Announcing Ayabie's First US Tour

Mischief and mayhem abound when popular Japanese act Ayabie release their
hyper-powered sonic confections on an unsuspecting US. With influences from
electronica to anime, Finnish metal to fairytales, the one thing keeping it
together is the band's gleeful excitement about it all. And nowhere is that
excitement more palpable than at their exhilarating live shows. They've been
rocking out Japan since 2004, Europe since 2006 and, at last, they're touring
America in 2008. Come and give your smile a workout! (website:

Band Bio:
Founded in 2004, Ayabie's colorful combination of traditional Japanese melody
and anime-inspired energy - accented with a few metal riffs - quickly earned
them a devoted following. Their first single, Chousoi sou yori san rin, made it
into the top ten of the Oricon indies charts. Less than a year later the band
sold out the 1,100 person O-East in Tokyo!
2006 saw them kick off their fanclub and, in June, play their first overseas
tour in Europe. In Finland alone, nearly 1,000 people attended and the tour
was a huge success.
To kick off 2007, the band interspersed Japanese shows with four shows in Korea.
That summer they went for their second European tour, this time playing seven
shows from Sweden to Spain. As the releases continued fast and furious (12 in
2007 alone!), the band played their longest Japanese tour ever and planned for
the next step: Universal!
With a distribution deal from Universal, their first single of 2008, "Meltaway"
was their biggest hit yet: reaching #1 on the Japanese indie charts, and
breaking into the Top 20 on the major charts!
Now this electronic-metal-japanese-pop-rock band is launching their first ever
US tour! Don't let it pass you by!
