PLAY! – A Video Game Symphony has appeared over 50 times in many of the world's most prestigious and iconic venues. On August 20th, 2003, for the first time outside of Japan, music written for video games was performed by a symphony, the Czech National Symphony Orchestr at the famous venue Gewandhaus zu Leipzig in Leipzig, Germany. Under the direction of Maestro Andy Brick, Associate Conductor of PLAY! and Maestro at the Davies performance, this concert received a great deal of praise and enthusiasm. The first stateside concert, Dear Friends - Music from FINAL FANTASY, produced by Jason Michael Paul, was held on May 10, 2004 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, CA and sold out in three days. It featured music from Square Enix's world-renowned FINAL FANTASY video game series, performed by the acclaimed Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. The positive reception of this performance gave rise to the U.S. concert series beginning in 2005, under the direction of Maestro Arnie Roth. The performance of Dear Friends - Music from FINAL FANTASY, by the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra and CPO Festival Choir, conducted by Arnie Roth in February2005 was sold out with over 4,250 in attendance.

Symphony Silicon Valley, founded in 2002, is the modern incarnation of the oldest symphony west of the Mississippi. It has progressed from daring idea to exciting reality, becoming the greater South Bay's premiere orchestra and a notable community success story. Performing a full range of symphonic works in its home theatre, San Jose's historic California Theatre, this orchestra has made a commitment to performing the works generated in the video game world. They have presented three previous concerts of this work including both PLAY! and FINAL FANTASY. Founding President Andrew Bales said, "Audiences for this music are thrilled with the experience. They come familiar with some of it, but this concert gives them an in-depth opportunity to hear the rich musical range that is now available in the video game world. It is a treat for the musicians and audience to explore these new composers on their own turf."

Andy Brick is a prolific Award-winning composer, conductor and symphonist of music for film, television, live concerts and interactive games. He has served as Conductor and Music Director of the historic GC (Games Convention) concert series with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and FILMharmonic Orchestra Prague. He has composed, conducted and/or orchestrated music for such productions as The Sims, FINAL FANTASY, Little Mermaid II, Lady & The Tramp II and Merregnon 2 with orchestras throughout the world. Recently, Brick was selected as the featured conductor in the "Young, Gifted, and Engaged" issue of SYMPHONY Magazine. In June 2005 Brick won the prestigious "Masterworks of the New Era" award for new orchestral compositions.
