Anime Expo® 2008 Takes Over the Los Angeles Convention Center

New Full Service Registration System a Huge Success

Los Angeles, California (July 3, 2008) — Over 8,000+ extremely ecstatic pre-registered attendees were able to obtain their badges and convention items a day prior to the convention, within a time span of 30 minutes of average waiting time for each individual, on July 2, 2008. With over 25,000 pre-registered attendees to date and only a portion of the available terminals used for the initial test, the new full service registration system at the nation's largest anime and manga convention has been proven to be a huge success and will be able to handle the additional flow of attendees in the next few days. Anime Expo® 2008 will be held from July 3-6, 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA. More information can be found on the website www.anime-expo.org .

This new system will be employed for the huge anticipation of attendees who are gathering at the nation's largest anime and manga convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center this 4th of July weekend. Many attendees will be able to enjoy the Studio Ghibli inspired decorated registration hall as well as the themed entertainment within the space as they await their turns on the new registration hall system.

Free shuttle services for all hotel attendees will be provided. Regular non-hotel attendees will have access to utilize the free shuttle services during designated hours as well. All schedules and routes will be posted in the lobby of each shuttle hotel. Frequency of service is pending local traffic, road conditions and can change without notice. Also, no shuttle service provided to the Holiday Inn City Center and the Figueroa Hotel (both are within walking distance of the Los Angeles Convention Center).
