Japanese Visual-Kei Band An Café to Perform in the US in April
Los Angeles, CA – March 26, 2009- Continuing on the “Nyappy go Around the World” tour, the Japanese Visual-kei superstars band An Café announces three North American dates. These dates will conclude the bands worldwide 17 city European, North and South American prior to the final Asian leg.
April 11th – Hollywood, CA – Hollywood Avalon
April 12th – Anaheim, CA – House of Blues
April 14th – San Francisco, CA – Slims
An Cafe supporting their newest release “HARAJUKU DANCE ROCK” released in North America by Maru Music. This latest release, illustrates the bands bright and happy songs which reflects the style and nature of the stylish area of Harajuku they love. The band's name comes from the shortened version of the word Antique Cafe. The members are miku (vocals), takuya (guitar), kanon (bass), yu-ki (keys), teruki (drums). The band was formed in 2003, through some line-up changes with the current configuration since April 2007.
An Café is extremely popular with the teenage crowd. Their most known for their song in the introduction of the anime Darker Than Black. Their live performances are said to infect the audience with a dance fever. An Cafe's music tends to crossover several different genres. They attract not only fans of Visual-kei, but also Jpop and Jrock fans with their contagious songs and lyrics. During a live performance each member can be seen expressing their own personality. Often opinions of favorite members will be expressed when polling fans.
