How To Cosplay Series

Japanese publisher Graphic-sha jump-started its
series of practical and easy-to-understand cosplay
books in April 2009 with the publication in North
America of “HOW TO COSPLAY vol.1 <COS*NOTE>
Transformation and Special-effects Make-up.”
Information on the entire series, as well as special
materials on “HOW TO COSPLAY” vol.1 on sale now,
and next issue vol.2, is now available.

HOW TO COSPLAY: Background
Cosplay, once a genre reserved for a small segment of fans, has now
become a global phenomenon, and many cosplayers now appear at the
manga and anime conventions held on a nearly monthly basis around the
world. In addition, recently many events and contests focusing on
cosplay have been held, and we expect this trend to continue to expand
in the years to come. Against the background of this boom, many books
and magazines with features on cosplaying have been released, but at
Graphic-sha, our focus was producing books that are useful, and thus we
developed the HOW TO COSPLAY series.

The HOW TO COSPLAY series is currently divided into three categories
with alternating releases.
