Excerpts from the newest film by Academy Award winning animation master Hayao Miyazaki will be shown at all screenings of Castle in the Sky and Kiki's Delivery Service.
Inspired by the story The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen, Ponyo is about a friendship between a young boy Sosuke (modeled after Miyazaki's own son Goro) and a baby goldfish named Ponyo, who longs to become human. Ponyo is being released in the US August 14 with voices by Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Liam Neeson, and Lily Tomlin.
