Animelo Summer Live 2010 -evolution- 2-Day Event at Saitama Super Arena in Japan

The first overseas AniSama will be held in Shanghai!

Dwango Planning and Development Co., Ltd. jointly hosting with Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Inc. will hold "Animelo Summer Live 2010 - evolution-", inviting popular artists on anime songs, as a summer event of “Ani-Melomix” operated by Dwango.

In addition, for those who love anime and anime songs in the world, Animelo Summer Live will be held in Asian region, where popularity of anime and anime songs have spectacularly increased, as the first Animelo overseas event.

●Theme “evolution”
The theme of AniSama in 2009 was to return to the starting point. With the inspiring finale of the last AniSama, we felt that what we've been building over the years have been true to our dreams, as well as realizing new issues throughout the five years.

With that in mind, we have chosen a theme of 2010 that would bring energy and courage to those who anticipate the event every year. Among many theme ideas, such as “Change” chosen as the word of the year, we believed that “evolution” is best suited for this year's theme. It is because we felt that something new going beyond previous AniSama and bringing an evolution to AniSama as a whole are key to the new stage.

Evolution is the theme of the sixth AniSama.

Not only will audiences enjoy an evolution in AniSama, but also an evolution for the artists themselves.

In the year of 2010, AniSama will grow its possibility. Under the name of AniSama, two different events below will be held in different places and schedules.

●AniSama Girls Night
This event will be held by introducing different approaches in order to entertain anime and anime song fans. As stated the event name, “Girls Night” will be for girls only. Artists, band performers, and even audiences will be limited to girls.
* “Girls Night” may be on air on Nico Nico Live in Nico Nico Douga. This live will be available for all Nico Nico users.

Date: from the end of Oct. to the beginning of Nov.
Place: Tokyo/Osaka (approx. 2000 - 3000 persons)
Artists: limited to female artists (TBA)
Audiences: limited to female audiences

●Animelo Summer Live in Shanghai
The first overseas AniSama will be held in Shanghai where shows remarkable development by rapid economic growth. Shanghai will become a splendid hub by holding Expo 2010 Shanghai China as well as Animelo Summer Live 2010.

Place: Shanghai (approx. 10000 persons)
