Major Kusanagi is the Ghost at Phoenix Comicon

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn will be at the Phoenix Comicon

March 24th 2010: Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is an award winning American voice actress best known for doing voices for anime and video games. Among her many credits, her most recognizable roles include Jagura in Wolf's Rain, Rosso the Crimson in Dirge of Cerberus-Final Fantasy VII- and Motoko Kusanagi in the critically acclaimed Ghost in the Shell. She's also the winner of an American Anime Award.

Convention Center Director Matt Solberg commented, “We're very excited to have such a talented voice actor drop by the convention.”

Though she is an exceptionally skilled voice actress, Mcglynn is also known as a talented singer, director, and writer. Aside from her voice work, she has been an ADR Director and story editor for ZRO Limit Productions, Jetix/ABC Family, Fox Family, Kids WB, Saban Entertainment and Bang Zoom! Entertainment. She directed “Cowboy Bebop” the series and “Cowboy Bebop: The Movie” for the big screen. McGlynn made a few guest appearances on the TV hits Star Trek: Voyager, Quantum Leap, and Walker, Texas Ranger. You can hear her singing in Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4: The Room, Dance Dance Revolution (DDR), Silent Hill Zerø and Silent Hill: Homecoming. She also provided vocals for some music tracks in the movie adaptation of Silent Hill.

Phoenix Comicon is the signature pop culture event of the southwest, presenting guests and programming for hobbyists and fans by attracting the top segments of the comics, anime, sci-fi, film, TV, and gaming industries. Entering its ninth year, Phoenix Comicon is expected to draw over 10,000+ attendees to its May 27-30, 2010 convention held at the Phoenix Convention Center and Hyatt Regency located in downtown Phoenix.
