New Style Fashion Anime “Tokyo Candoll” Debut on Tokyo International Anime Fair

On March 27th and 28th, the world's largest anime exhibition in Tokyo has been held at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan for the public. A great number of projects and businesses relating anime have been introduced, showing that the number of anime fans does not drop, with an over all number of 132,492 people in total (business related visitors included).

A big special at 2010's “Tokyo International Anime Fair” was certainly the introduction of Tokyo Candoll, a fashion web magazine-project about Japan's popular Dokusha-Models and their world - all presented in a new anime style. It was even interviewed by NHK and introduced the debut of Tokyo Candoll in the evening news.

The story centers around 3 girls who are every-day "Dokusha-Models" (*amateur models scouted on the street by -, or readers sending in their photos to youth fashion magazines), who are trying to find out, who they want to be.

With 3 virtual characters debut in the serialized comic, real Dokusha-models have been invited for the voice acting in the animation and Yūki Yamamoto, one of the most popular Dokusha-models in Japan, will also appear as the guest.

The fashion project such as seasonal coordinates and street snaps collaborate with Shinjuku MARUI one will be launched. With the detailed introduction to the real items of trendy apparels featured in the story, readers can arrange their own style according to personal preferences.

In addition, one of the most attractive points of the site is readers can become Dokusha-models by showing out their own style. Overseas blog writers who are well-know for the fashionable coordinates make their presence on Tokyo Candoll site, with a large quantity of photos.

The site is running by Cool Japan inc., which owns the famous Jmusic web magazine musicJAPANplus (http://musicjapanplus.jp) and online Japanese-goods store coolJAPANstore (http://www.cooljapanstore.com)
