Tribute Show For the Late Jun 'Nujabes' Seba Held in San Jose During Memorial Day Weekend

San Jose, CA (May 26, 2010) - EigoMANGA's Japanese radio program, Shibuya Airwaves hosts a tribute show for the late Japanese hip hop DJ and producer Jun 'Nujabes' Seba on Saturday, May 29 on Stage Zero as part of FanimeCon 2010 in the San Jose Convention Center. The show begins at 5pm.

Nujabes is best known for producing the soundtrack of 'Samurai Champloo', an anime which blends a cross-genre of feudal Japan setting with elements of modern hip hop culture. On February 26, 2010, Jun Seba was involved in a fatal traffic accident on the Shuto Expressway in the Greater Tokyo Area of Japan.

'The Shogunate' and other San Francisco Bay Area based hip hop groups influenced by Nujabes' music will perform live at the tribute show and the show will be presented by former Shibuya Airwaves radio host 'Stewart House' and San Francisco-based anime personality 'Mr. Wendell'.

"This is a tribute for Mr. Nujabes by fans to honor him and show more of his influence beyond his anime work," says Stewart. "We hope that his family and colleagues know that we are producing this tribute with sincere respect and praise."
