Crunchyroll to Start Release Moribito Catalog Today

San Francisco, Calif. (August 3, 2010) ­ Crunchyroll (http://www.crunchyroll.com)- in conjunction with Media Blasters and Anime Works ­ is scheduled to release the back catalog episodes of Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit on its site today. The first four (4) episodes of Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit, directed by Kenji Kamiyama and produced by Production I.G, will be available to Premium Anime and All-Access members, while only the first episode will be available to free users. The other three (3) episodes will become available one (1) month later on September 7, 2010 for free users. More information can be found at http://www.crunchyroll.com.

Based off the Japanese fantasy novel series, written by Nahoko Uehashi, Moribito - Guardian of the Spiritt was adapted into an epic 26-episode series that was extremely well received by a worldwide audience and gained even more acclaim after being featured on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit follows the journey of Balsa, a spear-wielding, wandering woman warrior, who takes on the task of saving lives in atonement for her past sins. On her journey, she happens to save a prince, and is tasked with becoming his bodyguard, as his own father ­ the emperor ­ has ordered his assassination. The two go on a perilous journey together to ensure the survival of the prince.
