Live from Tokyo - a Documentary About Indie Music from Tokyo

After a sold out World Premiere at the Asia Society in New York City, we are thrilled to invite you to the San Francisco premiere of "Live From Tokyo" at the Viz Cinema in New People World - Friday November 12, 2010 at 7:15pm.

Immediately following the screening, VIZ Cinema and GoForALoop Gallery are proud to present a special simulcast of performances from the bands Kirihito, Sajjanu, Yudaya Jazz, and Onnacodomo (all featured in the film), streamed live from the Forest Limit club in Tokyo. There will also be a reception as well as a Q&A with the filmmakers to top off the evening.

The film is about underground music in Tokyo and features performances and interviews by: Shūgo Tokumaru, d.v.d, Nisennenmondai, Tenniscoats, PARA (ex-Boredoms members), Sexy-Synthesizer, D.M.B.Q, Sajjanu, KIRIHITO, Optrum, Samm Bennett, W. David Marx, Tokyo Pinsalocks and many many more.
