Who Will Be Crowned Australia's Best Cosplayer?
MELBOURNE, Thursday, 18 November 2010: The stage is set - Madman and Supanova proudly present the final round of the 2010 MADMAN NATIONAL COSPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP.
Finalists from all over Australia will come together for their moment in the spotlight: to compete for all the glory that comes with being officially recognised as Australia's best Cosplayer, as well as the grand prize of a trip to Tokyo, Japan - the home of Cosplay.
This year's sophomore contest features an expanded field of contestants, including not only state finalists, but judges' wild card entries and teams of two. Contestants are also able to dress as Japanese video game characters in addition to the traditional manga and anime categories.
The finals will be held as the main event of the Supanova Cosplay Festival in Brisbane on Saturday 27th November at the RNA Showgrounds. The grand final will also be broadcast live across the internet via www.madman.com.au/cosplay from 2.45pm AEST (3.45pm AEDST, 12.45pm WST).
The event will also feature vendors, casual cosplay competitions, panels, anime screenings and opportunities to meet & greet with special guests - including anime and video game voice actor, Stephanie Sheh (NARUTO, BLEACH) and internationally acclaimed and highly respected cosplayer, Alodia Gosiengfao. Alodia will be visiting Australia as a very special guest judge for the finals.
