Florida Anime Experience 2012 Announces Terri Hawkes, the Voice of Sailor Moon

(Orlando, FL, October 5, 2011) Florida Anime Experience 2012 will take place at the International Palms Resort and Convention Center (in Orlando, Florida) May 27-29, 2012. The convention, now in its second year, will feature panels, events and shows themed around anime, manga and Japanese popular culture. The Guest of Honor for 2012 will be Terri Hawkes, known for providing the voice of what is regarded as the most recognizable female anime character of all time: Sailor Moon.

The series Sailor Moon first aired in the United States in 1995 and is widely considered as one of the foremost titles that helped propel anime fandom into American culture. Terri Hawkes provided the voice for the majority of the series and subsequently returned to voice the iconic character in three films: Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon S, and Sailor Moon SuperS.

Tickets go on sale Sunday, October 9, 2011 on the website: www.floridaanime.com. Weekend admission to the event is $35, but discount passes can be purchased in advance. One day passes will be available at the door for $25 (Saturday) and $20 (Friday or Sunday.)
