Gunpla Builders World Cup 2013 North American Regionals
The search for the North American Representative begins!
IRVINE, CA – Mar 25, 2013 BLUEFIN and PLAMOCON are proud to announce the start of the 2013 GunPla Builders World Cup (GBWC) Semi-Finals for North America.
The GBWC is a competition dedicated to Gundam Plastic Models (GunPla) between 13 Regions: Japan, Italy, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, North America, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
Competitors build a Bandai Gundam Model kit as a base to create their own unique personalized design and have it face off against the best modelers in the world to take title of World Champion.
North American representative selection will be decided based on several live events in the U.S sponsored by Bluefin: Sakura-Con, Anime Central, Anime Expo, A-Kon, Otakon, and New York Comic-Con and an online competition open to the U.S. and Canada by Plamocon, with final selection performed by a panel of Bandai Hobby Judges. Representative chosen will win a free round trip to the World Championship in Japan in December to have their model compete against the other 12 countries.
